The Unity Secondary School’s CCA Council is a platform to develop the leadership potential of the students from various CCA groups. The members are recruited from Sec 1 level at the end of the year. Based on nominations from the CCA managers, the nominees will go through an interview as well as a leadership camp to assess their leadership potential. Those who go through the selection successfully will begin their CCA Council journey from Sec 2.
During the school terms, members of the CCA Council will go through additional leadership training workshops, in addition to those workshops that the rest of the school goes through. With the guidance of the CCA Council teachers, the members will be given opportunities to develop their leadership and organization abilities through taking charge of various school events such as Jogathon, Sports Feista and ACES day.
The CCA Council helps to build school spirit by leading the school in cheering during school competitions and during the weekly morning exercises. They also promote healthy lifestyle among their peers by loaning out sport equipment as well as manning the gym in the afternoons.
The members of the CCA Council are a dynamic and committed group of student leaders who work hard and contribute to the school. From their hard work and commitment, they grow in maturity and their leadership capacity over the years that they are in the CCA Council.
